Nike, what can I say? It’s a storyteller’s dream. Especially for one who grew up playing soccer and looking up to the brand and its athletes. From working The World Cup content for Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe to kicking off Back to School shopping for parents–this work not only hits a major passion point, but has challenged me as both a writer and narrative strategist.
For almost 3 years now, I have worked digital, social, and broadcast for many parts of the business. These are just a few of my favorites.

What can I say? I have quite the drive when it comes to writing for automotive.
I was immersed in everything from initial concepts to directing talent at shoots and working broadcast, radio, social, and digital campaigns.

Honda: Hispanic Heritage Month
Creative: Social activation, social videos, scriptwriting, influencer management and direction, shooting
Strategy:
Honda Latino Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month in a big way.
Creative Concept:
Honda is driving (you towards) the flavors of Hispanic heritage.
Honda te lleva a recorrer los sabores de la cultura hispana.
Execution:
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and all the flavors of Hispanic culture with friends and influencers Bricia Lopez and El Guzii. We filmed content and meaningful conversations around food, culture, and family at Smorgasburg LA.
The Nitty Gritty:
• Set up at one of LA’s hottest food fairs, Smorgasburg LA
• Invited food trucks with a diverse variety of Hispanic foods and filmed a taste test.
• Brought Honda vehicles for guests to check out. Honda product specialists were also on-site to answer any questions.
• Created four social videos about Hispanic food, family, culture, and cars (Hondas of course).
• Edited and revised scripts, directed talent, and wrote copy for social assets, event signage, and videos.

From drop emails to social media posts and site copy, my time with SKIMS taught me just how fast—and exciting—fashion really is. Especially a brand founded and run by one of the world’s most influential celebrities.
I crafted and enhanced the SKIMS voice throughout all brand and marketing channels and provided support as the company’s only copywriter. I also wrote copy for SKIMS first-ever Spanish language TV commerical with Rosalía.
Big task? Yes.
Worth it? 100%
Do I love SKIMS underwear? I have them on right now.
Precision Crafted Performance I was sad to return when my test drive of the 2019 Acura RDX had ended. I drove the SUV three days and instantly became a better copywriter.
For over 2 years I wrote TV, radio, banner ads, digital videos, adaptions, and offer cards for the Acura account.
One of my favorite campaigns was our “Senses” TV spot. From the initial brainstorm to the final edit session, we told the story of the RDX and how it awakens the senses (through cutting-edge technology) and brings the road to life. This spot was successful and won an Imagen Award for Best On-Air Advertising in 2018.

Everything we imagined. And then some.
I drafted quarterly content, wrote copy for social media, and worked closely with the social team on strategies that delighted moms and engaged the Latino Market.
My favorite project on Dole was the general-market campaign we launched in the summer of 2018. In just two weeks, we came up with content for a three-month social calendar filled with in-house shoots, larger productions, and higher expectations.
The worst part of this account was all the recipes we had to try. Sounds horrible, right?

An art director and I worked closely with the CRM team at Hulu and provided email solutions, copy, and design. We were stationed at the Hulu headquarters and became a fully integrated unit within the Hulu marketing team. I wrote copy and provided support for their product, on-channel, off-channel, and Originals teams daily.

Both Valentine’s Day emails performed well for our client. The social team loved our streamy candy-heart copy and utilized them as GIFs in the social space. The reacquisition email made it on to reallygoodemails.com.

The DIY Girls pro-bono project was a labor of love and one that I feel proud of. When we caught wind of what this San Fernando Valley program was doing to help bridge young girls in STEM careers, we knew we had to help spread the word. This, being a completely in-house job, gave me the opportunity to creatively co-lead the project through the planning, interviewing process, and curation of the script.
The hard work and heart paid off. We won an Imagen Award for Best On-Air Advertising in 2019 for this passion project.

While at Casanova McCann, I worked with an art director on the Hot Pockets Pinterest launch. These concepts targeted Latina moms with busy lifestyles. Our campaign helped lighten their load and feel good about giving their teenagers a protein-packed snack. Not only was this account fun to write for, but the Hot Pockets were a delicious plus!
These banner ads were created to be shared via Hot Pocket’s Pinterest channel.

While at Casanova McCann, I wrote DJ mentions for radio stations, helped brainstorm ideas for the Protein Plus campaign, and wrote copy for POS ads. This is where I first fell in love with copywriting. The rest is all history.
While in college, I launched an online store as my creative outlet and passion project. This side hustle allowed me to learn about business process, creative direction, design, production, and of course, copywriting. Today, I still work on this store as a continuation of this burning passion, and as a reminder of the first dream I manifested. My store is now called A Escondidas, and it reminds me of how a little work, and a whole lot of grit, goes a long way.

My latest and greatest project is El Mercadito Orange County, a small-business market. I teamed up with an event coordinator to shine a light on some of Orange County’s best. Together we book venues, source vendors, and aim to put on events that are fun and profitable for everyone. I have taken the lead on social media management, promotions, video creative direction, and even backdrop building. We had our very first event in May.
